About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor in Stratospheric Physics to join our team at the University of New South Wales. As a key member of our School of Science, you will play a vital role in advancing our research and teaching programs in this exciting field.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct and lead research in stratospheric physics, with a focus on atmospheric science and balloon physics.
  • Teach and develop courses in stratospheric physics, including undergraduate and postgraduate programs.
  • Supervise and mentor students in their research projects, providing guidance and support to ensure their success.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the university and with external partners to advance our research and teaching programs.
  • Develop and manage research grants, contracts, and other funding opportunities to support our research initiatives.
Requirements
  • PhD in a related field, such as atmospheric science or physics.
  • Proven track record of research and teaching experience in stratospheric physics or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and students.
  • Ability to manage large-scale projects, including budget planning, risk management, and contract negotiations.
