Why Your Role Matters
The School of Science at UNSW Canberra is seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join our team as a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Experimental Condensed Matter Physics. This role offers a unique opportunity to blend research and education, contributing to course and curriculum delivery, and cultivating a vibrant research portfolio.
As a key player, you will craft publications, guide students, and drive grant applications, while contributing to the administration of the school. Embracing opportunities to make meaningful contributions in both academia and research, fuelling a passion for learning and innovation.
This role will be filled at either a Level B or Level C.
Who You Are (Skills and Experience):
Our ideal candidate will have:
- A PhD in experimental condensed matter physics or a related discipline.
- Expertise in cryogenic techniques and in performing measurements at low temperatures.
- Proven commitment to proactively keeping up to date with discipline knowledge and developments.
- Capability to contribute to and build on the School's research and teaching.
- Demonstrated experience in teaching and learning design using a range of pedagogical approaches, development and delivery of courses and programs, at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level.
- Experience of implementing educational technologies and online delivery methods.

Eligibility:
The successful candidate will be required to undertake pre-employment checks prior to commencement in this role. The checks that will be undertaken are listed in the Position Description. You will not be required to provide any further documentation or information regarding the checks until directly requested by UNSW.
The successful candidate will be required to work from the UNSW Canberra campus. To be successful you will hold Australian Working Rights or Australian Citizenship. UNSW is unable to offer visa sponsorship for this position.
