About the Role

You will be responsible for delivering primary medical care to patients in accordance with professional standards, legislation, and Defence Policies and Procedures. You will form part of a multidisciplinary team working towards the shared purpose of achieving and maintaining the health and wellbeing of Defence members. You will play an integral role in assessing Defence personnel for fitness for duty and in the provision of care that will support the health and wellbeing of members pre and post deployments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver primary medical care to patients in accordance with professional standards, legislation, and Defence Policies and Procedures.
  • Form part of a multidisciplinary team working towards the shared purpose of achieving and maintaining the health and wellbeing of Defence members.
  • Assess Defence personnel for fitness for duty and provide care that will support the health and wellbeing of members pre and post deployments.
  • Provide medical technical advice to the Joint Health Unit (JHU) Commanding Officer (CO), Joint Health Command (JHC) Health Centre Manager, and Commanders of units.

About Richmond Health Centre

Richmond Health Centre is located at RAAF Base Richmond, the oldest Air Force base in NSW, 50 km north-west of Sydney. The facility provides primary medical, outpatient, dental, nursing, physiotherapy, mental health, and pharmaceutical services to Defence members.
