Job Role:

The Team Lead will oversee the implementation of key objectives from the Strategic/Operational plans into service delivery for the Mental Health - Acute Care Team.

  • Develop and execute policies related to mental health care provision.
  • Build a high-performing team through effective staff management and leadership.
  • Foster strong interpersonal and communication skills with the multidisciplinary team, consumers, and visitors.

To be successful in this position, you must possess:

  • A tertiary degree in Occupational Therapy, Psychology, or Social Work.
  • AHPRA Registration (Occupational Therapy/Psychology only).
  • Eligibility for Australian Association of Social Workers membership.
  • A valid Driver Licence.
  • Evidence of vaccination against Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella (Chicken Pox), Pertussis (Whooping Cough), and Hepatitis B.
  • Tuberculosis screening.
  • A clean declaration of serious discipline history.
  • Criminal History Screening will be required.

The Acute Care Treatment Team provides 24-hour specialist mental health services. This team serves as the first point of contact for the Mental Health Service to offer education, support, information, advice, and referral. They provide mobile assertive outreach crisis response services tailored to individual needs. The team aims to deliver empathic, courteous, and recovery-focused services based on hope and respect.
