Job Summary

This role involves performing cardiac echocardiograms on both inpatient and outpatient populations using advanced ultrasound technology. The successful candidate will work as part of a dedicated cardiology team within the Imaging Department at a dynamic medical facility.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Record and archive study images to the image archive system.
  • Perform routine maintenance of equipment.
  • Conduct administration duties such as data entry of patient demographics and recording of anomalies in patient notes.
  • Participate in clinical trials.
  • Triage request forms and test requirements.
  • Interface with wards and units in stressful situations.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A Diploma of Medical Ultrasound (Cardiac) or equivalent qualification is required, along with current ASAR accreditation as a fully qualified sonographer.
  • A Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent is also necessary as per the award.
  • The ability to perform echocardiographic studies and report findings as an interim report is essential.
  • Effective communication skills are vital, particularly in emergency situations.
  • Interpersonal and organisational skills with the ability to work in a multidisciplinary team environment are required.
  • A demonstrated commitment to personal and professional development is also expected.
