About the Role

As a Clinical Leader in Mental Health Care, you will drive excellence and innovation in mental health services within a dynamic general medical and emergency department setting.

You will collaborate with key stakeholders from the Flinders and Upper North Local Health Network (FUNLHN), playing a critical role in shaping and enhancing mental health responses.

In this pivotal position, you will partner with the FUNLHN Community Mental Health Teams, offering invaluable education and mentorship to elevate the skills of staff, ensuring top-notch care for mental health consumers.

The successful candidate will possess significant autonomy, making key decisions and ensuring that nursing practices align with policies.

About You

  • You must be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
  • Holds a Graduate Diploma in Mental Health Nursing (or equivalent).
  • Registered Nurse and or Midwife with at least 3 years post registration experience.
  • Demonstrated expertise in the mental health nursing practice in accordance with the relevant standards.
  • Demonstrated experience in the supervision and leadership of multidisciplinary staff, student nurses, enrolled nurses and less experienced registered nurses and/or midwives.
  • Experience working with Aboriginal consumers.

Benefits

  • The base salary range for this position is $121,537 - $126,970 per annum.
  • In addition to base salary, this position attracts Superannuation, Leave Loading, Zone Allowance and once off Incidental Payment (conditions apply), Professional Development Allowance, and Salary Sacrificing Benefits (salary packaging).
  • Relocation and Accommodation Assistance may be available for eligible applicants.
