Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Theatre Assistant to join our team. As a key support role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth operation of surgical teams.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the Surgical Team - Assisting surgeons, anaesthetists, and nurses with preparing operating rooms.
  • Maintaining Sterility - Ensuring that the theatre environment, equipment, and instruments remain sterile to reduce infection risks.
  • Cleaning and Disinfecting - Cleaning the theatre after surgeries and preparing it for the next procedure. Handling of clinical waste.
  • Inventory Management - Monitoring and restocking supplies.
  • Assisting with Patient Positioning and Transfer - Safely transporting and positioning patients on the operating table, ensuring comfort and preventing injuries.

You will work closely with our experienced team to deliver high-quality patient care and contribute to a positive working environment.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Excellent communication skills and a willingness to develop a working knowledge of hospital procedures.
  • A motivated and positive individual with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment and independently as required.
  • Excellent patient and customer service focus.
  • Availability for a range of shifts across a 7-day rotating roster.
