Mechatronics Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Mechatronics Specialist to join our team. As a Mechatronics Specialist, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing mechatronic systems that integrate mechanical, electrical, and software components.

Your days will be filled with writing code, designing mechanical parts, resolving supply chain issues, or debugging complex electronics issues. We value individuals who ask good questions, think critically, and learn quickly.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Designing embedded systems that incorporate sensors, microcontrollers, actuators, and power systems
  • Prototyping and debugging electronics, including hands-on validation and fault analysis
  • Developing mechanical components and assemblies for both internal integration and outdoor deployment in challenging environments
  • Writing firmware in C++ and Python for STM32 and Particle-based platforms
  • Improving our testing and verification processes to enable faster development without compromising quality
  • Collaborating closely with production and other teams to enhance manufacturability, reliability, and test coverage

To be successful in this role, you should have 4+ years of experience in an electronics or mechatronics field, be comfortable working with firmware in C++/Python for embedded systems, and have experience testing electronics using lab equipment, debugging failures, and identifying root causes to guide fixes or design changes.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with systems engineering processes
  • Verification and validation expertise for physical systems
  • Familiarity with designing for manufacture and assembly (DFM/DFA)
  • Experience developing ruggedized or environment-exposed hardware
  • Experience working in agriculture or AgTech
