Job Title: Manufacturing Optimisation Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Optimisation Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of engineering principles and be able to apply them in a practical, operational setting.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Promote and reinforce a strong safety culture through active engagement in programs and initiatives.
  • Support operations in problem-solving, root cause analysis (RCA), and implementing corrective actions.
  • Design, implement and challenge best practice processes and systems, ensuring compliance with standards.
  • Perform risk assessments in compliance with company and industry standards.
  • Facilitate and perform maintenance analysis (RCA, FMEA) to drive reliability improvements.
  • Lead continuous improvement and plant optimisation projects.
  • Assist in the preparation of business cases and justifications for capital initiatives.
  • Manage plant control of change systems.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting operations to optimise plant performance, embed best practice, and deliver engineering solutions. This is a hands-on role working closely with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to identify bottlenecks, improve energy efficiency, enhance plant reliability, and contribute to capital projects.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Chemical, Process Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Strong knowledge of engineering principles with the ability to apply them in a practical, operational setting.
  • Proven problem-solving ability and analytical mindset, including use of statistical process control techniques.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple stakeholders.
  • A proactive, hands-on approach with a commitment to continuous learning.
  • Ability to drive initiatives and manage small to medium-sized projects to completion.
  • Experience in operations, maintenance, or process improvement (desirable).
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment.
