Job Title: Plant Reliability Specialist

About the Role

This key role is focused on improving the reliability and performance of plant equipment and systems, particularly rotating machinery, within a fast-paced industrial environment. The successful candidate will be instrumental in developing and implementing strategies to improve equipment performance and reduce unplanned downtime.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement reliability strategies to optimise asset life-cycle performance.
  • Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA) on equipment failures.
  • Drive continuous improvement in maintenance practices, planning, and execution.
  • Work closely with Maintenance, Production, and Engineering teams to develop and refine maintenance strategies.
  • Champion reliability-focused KPIs related to availability, performance, and cost.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
Requirements
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
  • Proven experience in a reliability or maintenance engineering role within an industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Strong technical knowledge and hands-on experience with rotating equipment.
  • Sound understanding of reliability principles, condition monitoring, and predictive maintenance technologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Effective communicator who thrives in a cross-functional team environment.
