Building Development Specialist
Role OverviewThis position involves overseeing technical aspects, ensuring compliance and supporting project assessments within a leading consultancy.
Duties and Responsibilities- Reviewing project documentation and liaising with clients to ensure adherence to the Building Act, Regulation, and Building Code of Australia for building permit issuance.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation including job files and office systems.
- Preparing reports on compliance requirements and project recommendations.
- Communicating promptly and accurately with authorities and councils regarding requests for information.
- Supporting the Business Unit team with day-to-day management and assessment of projects.
- Managing technical processes and operational management of QHSE Systems.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and governing bodies to meet client and project needs.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A University degree or equivalent formal qualification in construction recognized by AIBS/RICS.
- Technical competence suitable for a Building Development Specialist role.
- The ability to manage your own workload effectively.
- Accuracy and timeliness in reviewing documentation.
- The capability to complete assigned tasks with consultation and approval from Senior staff.
- Effective time management to accommodate client requests.
- The ability to work independently and communicate effectively.
- Attention to detail and the ability to meet targets and deadlines.
- Initiative to improve processes and procedures.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
