Debt Recovery Specialist

Job Scope
We are seeking a skilled Debt Recovery Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will contribute to the profitability of the business by minimizing potential losses due to non-payment and loss of accounts.
The successful candidate will be responsible for actively contacting delinquent accounts to secure payment while adhering to company policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Negotiates account resolution and accurately inputs and documents actions within the collection systems while maintaining company performance and productivity standards.
- Communicates with customers in a courteous and professional manner by telephone to determine reason for late payment and secure future payments.
- Ensures all action details are recorded on all relevant Collections systems.
- Conducts collection actions so as to meet or exceeding both individual and team goal benchmarks.
Requirements:
- Secondary Education (desirable)
- Minimum 12 months in a collections role
- Exposure to a measured and KPI based environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure
- Self-motivated
- 'Can do' attitude
- Ability to work as part of a team
