Commercial Finance Manager

Lawson Elliott Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Commercial Finance Manager to join our client's team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a finance professional to make a real business impact.

About the Role

This is a key role within the organization, partnering with the Divisional General Manager and key business/operational executives and management to improve decision support and commercial focus. The successful candidate will drive superior commercial and financial outcomes, developing financial literacy within the business, driving business performance, and supporting continuous improvement programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement financial planning and analysis strategies to support business growth and improvement
  • Provide expert commercial and financial advice on sales, logistics, and operational outcomes
  • Manage and organize resources within short/medium timelines to achieve business objectives
  • Ensure that capital expenditure business cases are appropriately developed and that investment decisions meet company hurdles
  • Support customer and general commercial arrangements, including pricing, credit, risk, dispute resolution, and contracts
Requirements

We require a CPA/CA qualified finance professional with wide and deep experience in providing expert commercial and financial advice. Previous experience in a complex construction services, contracting, or infrastructure development space would be advantageous. The successful candidate will have 7+ years of experience in planning, forecasting, capital and investment appraisal, as well as managing and organizing resources within short/medium timelines.
