Auxiliary Firefighters respond to emergencies and promote community safety.
About the RoleThe Auxiliary Firefighter plays a vital part in our emergency response efforts, attending incidents and supporting other firefighters as needed. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about helping others and working as part of a dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to emergency calls and assist with fire and rescue operations
- Promote community safety through education and outreach activities
- Maintain equipment and station facilities to ensure they are safe and functional
- Participate in regular training exercises to develop skills and stay up-to-date with best practices
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Australian Permanent Resident Status
- Manual C Class driver's licence
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy equipment
