Senior Civil Engineer Job Description

This is a challenging opportunity to work as a Senior Civil Engineer in our team. We are seeking an experienced professional with a strong background in civil design and project management.


Job Overview

We operate across multiple sectors, including government, private, and resource sectors, providing customised and practical solutions for our clients. Our projects involve the design and delivery of civil infrastructure, including roads, hardstand, drainage, water management, and erosion controls.


As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering comprehensive design and documentation for our projects. You will be responsible for coordinating projects and proposals, managing technical design work, and overseeing the delivery of associated infrastructure.


Responsibilities
  • Manage and deliver projects and proposals, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
  • Coordinate and lead teams of engineers and technicians on large-scale projects.
  • Design and manage major and minor drainage and water management infrastructure and controls, adhering to industry standards and regulations.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local authorities and stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and project outcomes.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:


  • 5+ years' experience in a similar consultancy environment, undertaking civil design and project management roles.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Demonstrated knowledge of working with local authorities and regulatory bodies.
  • Strong understanding of industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders and team members.
