Job Overview

The Foster & Kinship Care Coordinator will play a pivotal role in overseeing the delivery of high-quality services, guiding and supporting practitioners to ensure exceptional outcomes.

This role involves:

  • Providing oversight of service delivery and ensuring compliance with legislative requirements and Department of Child Safety standards.
  • Guiding and supervising practitioners to deliver culturally sensitive practice frameworks.
  • Recruiting, training, and supporting the team to achieve excellence in service delivery.

About You:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Coordinator who possesses:

  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of child protection and out-of-home care frameworks.
  • A well-developed practice framework that is culturally sensitive and effective.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, including the ability to provide reflective supervision.
  • Demonstrated experience as a Child Protection Practitioner, preferably in an out-of-home care context.
  • Proven ability to handle crisis situations effectively and establish productive relationships with stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Valid Blue Card (Working with Children)
  • Ability to qualify for a Licensed Care Service (LCS) clearance through personal history checks.
  • A current Queensland Driver License.
