About the Role

We are seeking an experienced administrative professional to join our Patient Services team at MQ Health Pty Ltd. As a Patient Admissions Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our hospital's front desk and patient admissions process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to patients and staff, including managing patient appointments, conducting paperwork and checks, and performing private health fund eligibility checks.
  • Ensure accurate and timely billing of patients, while maintaining confidentiality of patient records.
  • Work effectively as part of a team to provide high-quality administrative support services, including staffing the front desk reception and operating the hospital main switch.
Requirements
  • Experience in a reception, administration, or main switch environment, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Sound verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and empathise with patients.
  • Demonstrated commitment to high-level customer service, delivered in a professional manner at all times.
  • Competency in health-related software packages, such as TrakCare and Eclipse.
  • Experience and knowledge of private health funds and/or healthcare billing.
