Job Title: Senior Civil Engineer

A senior civil engineer is sought to lead and manage the delivery of complex engineering projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in planning, managing and delivering successful outcomes through effective quality control, cost management and scheduling.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, manage and deliver complex engineering projects to meet client requirements.
  • Monitor and control project quality, costs and schedules to ensure client expectations are met or exceeded.
  • Carry out and manage detailed designs for all types of projects and aspects of the project.
  • Ensure designs are innovative, prepared to a high standard and in accordance with client needs and expectations.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
  • CPEng and RPEQ qualification (preferable).
  • Minimum 10-12+ years of demonstrated design experience.
  • Proven project management experience of small and medium projects (residential, commercial, industrial and governmental).
  • Sound knowledge in hydrology, hydraulics, water quality, earthworks, retaining walls, sewer and water reticulation, road geometric design and pavement design.
  • Ability to critically assess and review designs by others.
  • Experience in producing detailed engineering drawings.
  • Knowledge of construction methods and their impact on design.
  • Understanding of design and commercial risk.
  • Demonstrable contract management experience.
  • Ability to effectively liaise with project managers and architects.
