Role Overview:
A Medical Laboratory Technician role is an exciting opportunity for individuals to embark on a rewarding career in medical laboratory technology.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform front-end activities in specimen reception, data entry during afternoon shifts, and laboratory testing in biochemistry, haematology, and immunohaematology departments.
- Maintain analysers, ensure quality control, and perform activities as directed by senior staff to maintain ongoing compliance with regulatory standards.
The successful candidate will work within a dynamic team environment, contributing to the delivery of high-quality pathology services.
Required Skills and Qualifications:- Hold a Diploma in Laboratory Technology or equivalent qualification from a recognised tertiary institution, with subjects relevant to pathology or medical laboratory operations.
- Demonstrate knowledge and experience in delivering pathology services within a discipline relevant to the department.
- Display ability to work efficiently, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Demonstrate capacity to work in a team environment, while working autonomously to deliver results within specified timeframes.
