Medical Laboratory Professional

A Medical Laboratory Technician plays a vital role in the Haematology laboratory, performing a range of laboratory investigations and tests.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine Haematology, Morphology, Coagulation and Transfusion tests by applying established methods and procedures.
- Undertake other laboratory duties including preparation of materials and maintenance of equipment in line with established laboratory processes, procedures and protocols.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications and skills:
- Diploma in Laboratory Technology or an equivalent qualification from a recognised tertiary institution with subjects relevant to pathology or medical laboratory operations.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the delivery of pathology services, preferably within Haematology.
- Ability to work in a responsible and efficient manner and to manage competing priorities to meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
