This role entails repairing or replacing mechanical components, fabricating parts by cutting, shaping, and welding metal, and assembling structures through welding or riveting. Key responsibilities include completing tasks such as finishing products with cleaning, polishing, or protective coatings, handling bucket/tray refurbishments and full machine rebuilds, including crack testing and repairs.
Key Responsibilities:- Repair or replace mechanical components
- Fabricate parts by cutting, shaping, and welding metal
- Assemble structures through welding or riveting
- Finish products with cleaning, polishing, or protective coatings
- Handle bucket/tray refurbishments and full machine rebuilds
- Demonstrable experience working on mobile equipment maintenance
- Previous experience working on a mine site or in the mining industry
- Experience with tray reline and buckets rebuilds and the ability to work with different techniques such as flux core, arc, oxy, mig, tig and gouging
- Australian Recognised Trade Certificate - Fabrication Trade
- Valid C Class driver's licence
- At minimum, 2 years post trade qualification / apprenticeship in the mining industry
