Heavy Duty Mechanic Job Opportunity

This position involves conducting regular maintenance and repairs on Heavy Mining Equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.

  • Inspect work areas for hazards and defects, identifying potential risks and implementing corrective measures.
  • Diagnose faults in Heavy Mining Equipment and execute repairs in accordance with industry standards.
  • Plan and manage maintenance tasks, estimating time and materials required to complete jobs.
  • Manage costs effectively, minimizing unnecessary expenses while maintaining high-quality results.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Trade qualification in Automotive Mechanical or equivalent, such as the AUR30999 Certificate III in Automotive Mechanical.
  • A current, unrestricted Western Australian Class C Driver's Licence.
  • Previous experience in an Open-Pit/Cut mining environment is desirable.
  • Strong commitment to safety and teamwork, with excellent communication skills.

As a Heavy Duty Mechanic, you will also be responsible for maintaining various types of Heavy Mining Equipment, including CAT 777F Trucks, CAT D10T Dozers, Hitachi EX1900 Excavators, and Komatsu PC1250 Excavators.
