Job Title: Disaster Response Team Leader
About the Role:
The disaster response team leader will coordinate and oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of disaster management functions within the region. This includes developing and managing prevention, preparedness, response, and recovery activities to mitigate the impact of disasters on landholders and primary producers.
You will be responsible for managing staff, training, and exercise activities to meet regional needs. You will also coordinate and implement the development of disaster management plans, processes, and documents within legislated frameworks. Furthermore, you will support and lead staff in the development, delivery, monitoring, and evaluation of disaster management functions and services.
The successful candidate will have proven exceptional stakeholder engagement skills, building and maintaining key relationships with various individuals and organizations.
Key Requirements:
- Knowledge and understanding of agricultural and disaster management issues
- Ability and willingness to undergo a probity check and medical clearance
- Current NSW Driver Licence and the ability and willingness to travel
