Residential Care Assistant

We are looking for dedicated and compassionate individuals to join our team of Support Workers. As a Support Worker, you will be working closely with people with complex disabilities, providing them with the care and support they need to live independently.

Job Description:

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, where you will have the chance to make a real difference in the lives of our residents.

You will be responsible for providing personal care, support with daily living activities, and promoting independence and choice for our residents.

You will also be involved in creating and implementing personalized care plans, which will help us to understand the needs and preferences of each resident.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal care and support with daily living activities, such as washing, dressing, and medication management.
  • Support residents with their daily routines, including mealtimes, leisure activities, and sleep schedules.
  • Assist residents with mobility and transfers, using appropriate equipment and techniques.
  • Encourage and support residents to participate in activities that promote independence, choice, and well-being.

Requirements:

We are looking for individuals who are passionate about delivering high-quality care and support, and who possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • A relevant qualification in health and social care, such as SVQ Level 2 or 3.
  • Experience of working with people with complex disabilities, preferably in a residential setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with residents, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
  • Able to work flexibly, including evenings, nights, and weekends, as required.
