Role Overview

The primary objective of this position is to deliver expert technical system support and guidance to various stakeholders, including clients, business partners, and internal teams. A comprehensive understanding of cloud computing and virtualization principles is essential, along with experience in designing, deploying, and managing virtualization infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver advanced system administration services, providing leadership and strategic advice to clients while ensuring adherence to agreed service levels and maintaining operational efficiency.
  • Drive enhancements and risk management initiatives by comprehending customer business objectives, and assist in the evaluation, reporting, and analysis of customer infrastructure environments.
  • Support the response to tenders and opportunities, presenting innovative solutions and proposals to prospective clients.
  • Guide a team of technical specialists in identifying risks and opportunities for improvement in infrastructure management, tools, and processes, and engage in agreed-upon improvement initiatives and risk mitigation strategies.

Essential Qualifications:

Significant experience in virtualization and private cloud implementations.

  • VMWare Expertise

o Proficient in the installation, configuration, and support of VMWare vSphere and vCloud Director in multi-tenant environments.
o Experience in building and supporting ESXi, vCentre, NSX, Update Manager, Tenant App, Site Recovery Manager, vRealize Operations, and vCloud Availability.

  • Storage Management

o Proficient in managing Pure Storage X, C, and Flashblades.
o Experience with Brocade and CISCO Fibre Directors.

  • Private Cloud Infrastructure Management

o Deploying and supporting on-premise enterprise computing infrastructure, including interconnect modules (HP BladeSystem, CISCO UCS).
o Creation of Server Profiles in a Blade Environment.
o Familiarity with VMWare Cloud Foundation.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with programming and scripting languages (Powershell, Python, Bash, etc.).

    • Familiarity with identity management systems (AAD, SSO, SAML/OIDC, etc.).

    • Experience with Agile/SCRUM methodologies.

    • Knowledge of Public Cloud Services.
