Role Overview

The primary objective of this position is to deliver expert technical system support and guidance to various stakeholders, including clients, business partners, and internal teams. A comprehensive understanding of cloud computing and virtualization principles is essential, along with experience in designing, deploying, and managing virtualization infrastructure hardware and software.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver advanced system administration services, providing leadership and advice to clients while ensuring adherence to agreed service levels and maintaining business efficiency.
  • Drive enhancements and risk management by comprehending customer business needs, assisting in the reporting, evaluation, analysis, and recommendations for customer infrastructure.
  • Support the response to tenders and opportunities, presenting tailored solutions and proposals to prospective clients.
  • Guide a team of technical specialists in identifying risks and opportunities for enhancing management infrastructure, tools, and processes, and engage in agreed improvement initiatives and risk mitigation strategies.

Essential Qualifications:

Proven experience in virtualization and private cloud implementations.

  • VMWare Expertise

o Proficient in the installation, configuration, and support of VMWare vSphere and vCloud Director in multi-tenant environments.
o Experience in building and supporting ESXi, vCentre, NSX, Update Manager, Tenant App, Site Recovery Manager, vRealize Operations, and vCloud Availability.

  • Storage Management

o Skilled in managing Pure Storage X, C, and Flashblades.
o Experience with Brocade and CISCO Fibre Directors.

  • Private Cloud Infrastructure Management

o Capable of deploying and supporting on-premise enterprise computing infrastructure, including interconnect modules (HP BladeSystem, CISCO UCS).
o Proficient in creating Server Profiles in a Blade Environment.
o Familiarity with VMWare Cloud Foundation.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with programming and scripting languages (Powershell, Python, Bash, etc.).

    • Familiarity with identity management systems (AAD, SSO, SAML/OIDC, etc.).

    • Knowledge of Agile/SCRUM methodologies.

    • Proficiency in Public Cloud Services.
