We are seeking a dedicated Residential Care Professional to support children and young people in residential care settings. This role is a vital part of our team, focusing on providing high-quality care and supervision to young individuals.
">Key Responsibilities- Deliver direct care and supervision to young people in a residential setting.
- Develop and implement individualised care plans to meet the unique needs of each young person.
- Assist with daily activities, promote self-care, education, and recreational activities.
- Promote a safe and positive living environment that fosters growth and development.
- Build trusting relationships with young people, offering emotional support and guidance.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of young people's progress.
- Ongoing training and professional development opportunities, including Therapeutic Crisis Intervention training and The Sanctuary Model framework.
- Consistent rosters and a supportive team culture that encourages collaboration and open communication.
- Wellness initiatives and access to the Sonder wellbeing app – 24/7 support for mental health and wellbeing.
- Working with Children Blue Card and NDIS Worker Screening Check or being willing and eligible to obtain prior to commencement.
- Available to work across a full shift pattern (mornings, evenings, and sleepovers).
- Valid Driver's Licence and access to a vehicle for transporting young people as required.
- Attained or working towards a relevant Bachelor's Degree, Diploma, or Certificate IV (Community Services, Youth/Social Work, etc.).
- Experience working with young people and/or children.
- Experience working in other support work-related fields, such as disability, mental health, aged care, and childcare.
