Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Emergency Veterinarian to join our dynamic team full-time. This position involves a unique co-location arrangement with the General Practice clinic to deliver top-notch Emergency care and expertise to the Wollongong and greater Illawarra region.

About the Practice

The Animal Referral Hospital is a pioneering privately owned multi-disciplinary specialist hospital and part of Australia's largest emergency and specialist group, with the nation's most extensive assembly of Emergency Veterinarians and Criticalists. We recently unveiled a brand-new, cutting-edge facility in ARH Wollongong with enhancements including nine consult rooms, three surgical theatres (with two more added), purpose-built areas for dental care, ultrasound, and endoscopy, and a revitalized reception with a cat-friendly waiting zone.

Your Skills & Experience
  • Possession of a Veterinary degree eligible for registration in NSW.
  • A minimum of 2 years of professional experience.
  • Highly desirable previous experience in emergency veterinary care.
  • A remarkable ability to maintain composure and display empathy in high-pressure scenarios.
  • Effective communication skills, whether with peers, pet owners, or referring veterinarians.
  • A sincere passion for assisting individuals and their beloved pets during their times of need.
