About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Administrator to join our team. As a Data Administrator, you will play a crucial role in supporting our Finance Team by providing accurate data and costings to various projects and service enhancement initiatives across the organisation.

Leveraging business intelligence tools and data management systems, this role will involve querying, analysing and presenting data to stakeholders, identifying opportunities to strengthen current reporting processes, and ensuring information is presented in a clear and accessible format.

The successful candidate will have expert understanding of SQL databases, experience working with complex information, and be well-organised with excellent administration skills.

They will also be a confident communicator, able to break down data to ensure clear communication and understanding by all, with the confidence and ability to suggest process enhancements with a commitment to continuous improvement.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Querying, analysing and presenting data to stakeholders across the organisation and external Department of Health Victorian Eyecare Service (VES).
  • Identifying opportunities to further strengthen the current reporting processes.
  • Ensuring information is presented in a format that can be easily understood by users from all backgrounds and is readily accessible to managers.
  • Supporting the CFO and Senior Accountant to monitor, analyse and report on data operations within agreed timeframes.
  • Providing support to business managers in the preparation of budgets, forecasts and in understanding financial performance against operational targets and performance metrics.
  • Assisting with promoting awareness of data quality throughout the organisation by providing education to all staff and conducting regular data integrity audits.
  • Taking the role of data integration lead for all major process improvement initiatives.
  • Assisting with the completion of end of month data, KPI reporting, and Department of Health quarterly reporting.

Key Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Expert understanding of SQL databases.
  • Experience working with complex information.
  • Well-organised with excellent administration skills.
  • Confident communicator, able to break down data to ensure clear communication and understanding by all.
  • In-depth knowledge of SQL, Excel and database management.
  • Tertiary qualification in Business, Information Technology, Health Information Management or related discipline.
