People Operations Specialist

About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled People Operations Specialist to join our team in Sydney. As a key member of our People Operations team, you will play a critical role in scaling our services to support the growth of our global business. You will work closely with our People Operations Manager to drive the day-to-day cadence of the team and execute facets of the employee lifecycle from onboarding to separation.
Key Responsibilities- Drive the day-to-day cadence of the People Operations team and own the global onboarding and voluntary offboarding process.
- Provide support and guidance across the full employee lifecycle and assist with People-related employee questions.
- Actively involved in managing staff performance, including owning the probation management process and assisting with performance management cases.
- Own Learning & Development activities and assist with coaching and upskilling of people managers and collating resources.
- Own our Human Resources Information System (HRIS) and employee records.
- Stay across employment legislation in the countries we operate and assist to ensure people-related processes are refined in line with changing laws.
- Assist with cyclical activities such as annual and mid-year performance review, compensation review, compensation benchmarking, eNPS, etc.
- Generate people metrics reporting and assist to share actionable insights with managers.
- 4+ years of progressive People experience.
- Experience with performance management and employee relations.
- Heavy commercial focus and a proven track record of developing and implementing People programs that support business objectives.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, and the ability to influence across all levels.
- The ability to decipher between what staff want and need, and shape solutions and an approach that strikes the best balance.
- Strong knowledge of HR systems and a passion for leveraging technology to improve people operations.
