Rehabilitation Therapist Role in Mental Health Care

The position involves working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality services to consumers and their families in an acute mental health setting.

In this role, you will utilize your expertise in assessments and interventions to empower individuals to re-engage with meaningful activities and reclaim their independence.

You will be responsible for conducting specialist assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, and participating in quality improvement activities, policy development, and clinical research.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide supervision and support to students on placement.

Requirements:

  • Postgraduate degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent qualification and current registration with the relevant professional body.
  • Demonstrated capabilities for recovery-oriented mental health care.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as a member of a team.
  • High level written documentation, computer competency, and oral communication skills.
