Warehouse Inventory Specialist

Job Overview:
The primary objective of this role is to ensure seamless inventory operations by implementing efficient stock management processes, delivering high-level support through receipting, stocktakes, cycle counts, adjustments, and returns.
This position involves overseeing all aspects of inventory management, managing damaged goods, order verification, out-of-stock and aged stock reporting, loss prevention initiatives, and the optimisation of product location accuracy.
You will be responsible for leading a small team and ensuring all performance metrics are met.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Manage timely and accurate inventory processes, including stock receipting, cycle counts, stocktakes, adjustments, and returns
- Analyse root causes of stock discrepancies and implement corrective actions
- Provide regular reporting and maintain accurate records using mainframe systems
- Maintain stock integrity and visibility while minimising product loss
- Develop and maintain procedures during system downtime and audit requirements
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve customer performance metrics
- Contribute to a safe working environment and uphold Vision Zero safety culture
Requirements:
We seek individuals with exceptional attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of inventory control.
- Prior experience in inventory control, warehousing, or transport environments
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel), and experience using RF and warehousing systems
- Knowledge of inventory best practices and reconciliation processes
- Able to make informed decisions and work effectively under pressure
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- A proactive approach to Workplace Health and Safety
