What does the job look like?

The Inventory Controller is responsible for overseeing all aspects of inventory management on site, delivering high-level stock control support through the efficient execution of receipting, stocktakes, cycle counts, stock adjustments, and credit returns. This role also manages damaged goods, order verification, out-of-stock and aged stock reporting, loss prevention initiatives, and the optimisation of product location accuracy to ensure seamless warehouse operations. You will also be responsible to manage a small team and ensure all KPIs are met. This will be a permanent position (Mon – Fri) and based at Wodonga.

  • Ensure timely and accurate inventory processes, including stock receipting, cycle counts, stocktakes, adjustments, and returns
  • Perform root cause analysis of stock discrepancies and implement corrective actions
  • Provide regular reporting and maintain accurate records using the client\'s mainframe system
  • Maintain stock integrity and visibility while minimising product loss
  • Develop and maintain Linfox procedures during system downtime and audit requirements
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure customer KPIs are achieved
  • Actively contribute to a safe working environment and uphold Linfox's Vision Zero safety culture

  • Previous experience in inventory control, warehousing or transport environments
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel), and experience using RF and warehousing systems
  • Knowledge of inventory best practices and reconciliation processes
  • Proven ability to make informed decisions and work effectively under pressure
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • A passion for safety, with a proactive approach to WHS
