Disability Day Services Practitioner Role

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Disability Day Service Practitioner. In this role, you will support individuals with acquired brain injuries and psychosocial disabilities to achieve their personal goals.

As a Disability Day Service Practitioner, you will facilitate client participation in group and individual-based supports and community activities. You will empower clients to be independent by fostering self-confidence and resilience, while also assisting them with daily activities and providing personal care.

This is a casual position based in Geelong, offering a unique opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of others.

About the Ideal Candidate:

  • A caring and empathetic person who is committed to the rights of people with disabilities.
  • Someone with some experience in the industry, holding a Certificate IV in Mental Health or equivalent.
  • An individual who is committed to Workplace Health and Safety principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups.
  • Intermediate computer skills, including proficiency in Word, Excel, Internet, and Outlook.
  • A valid Victorian Driver's Licence and a medical check stating capacity to function in the required role.
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Check, NDIS Worker Orientation Module certificate, and Working with Children Check.
