Role Overview

We're a not-for-profit disability support provider specialising in working with individuals who require 24/7 assistance and support.

As a key member of our care team, you'll be helping people live independently in the community by providing excellent care and support.

Our clients may have physical disability, acquired brain injury, neurological conditions, intellectual disability, or autism.

We build teams around every client, depending on each person's needs and preferences.

You'll work closely with clients to deliver high-quality services and develop strong relationships with them and their families.

The role involves participating in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide care and support to individuals with disabilities
  • Develop strong relationships with clients and their families
  • Work collaboratively as part of a care team to deliver high-quality services
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development
Requirements
  • Good judgement and common sense
  • Strong listening skills and ability to communicate effectively
  • Experience in palliative care and supporting clients with degenerative conditions (an advantage)
  • Patience and willingness to build rapport with clients
  • Comfortable working with pets and smokers
  • Commitment to working with a care team approach and following guidance from professionals
