The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Providing physical and emotional support to individuals with disabilities to enable them to reach their personal goals and improve their quality of life.\
  • Assisting with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and household chores.\
  • Supporting individuals to access community services and engage in recreational activities.\
  • Maintaining accurate records of client progress and reporting any changes or concerns to management.\
  • Developing and implementing individualized support plans that cater to the unique needs of each client.\
  • Fostering strong relationships with clients, their families, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and coordination.\
  • Participating in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in disability support.\
  • Contributing to a safe and respectful work environment that promotes dignity and inclusivity for all clients and staff.\
  • Collaborating with other support workers to ensure effective teamworking and efficient service delivery.\
  • Adhering to organizational policies and procedures to maintain high standards of practice and compliance.\\/ul>\

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Certificate III in Disability or equivalent qualification.\
  • Current First Aid accreditation.\
  • Current Working With Children (WWC) Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check.\
  • Australian driver's licence.\
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.\
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.\
  • Strong problem-solving and adaptability skills.\
  • Willingness to learn and take on new challenges.\\/ul>\
