This role offers a key position within an Industrial Relations team, requiring substantial expertise in the field and the ability to interpret complex Enterprise Agreements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drawing on knowledge of Industrial Relations ensures payroll compliance and drives effective remediation processes.
  • Collaboration across departments clarifies and actions compliance requirements, coordinates with Project Managers to ensure milestones are met, and engages with IT professionals to translate IR needs into technical solutions.
  • Comprehensive testing regimes and review processes ensure the payroll platform meets current obligations and is resilient to future changes in industrial regulations.
  • Gaps are identified, enhancements proposed, and outcomes documented to contribute to the integrity and success of the new system.
  • A commitment to best practice, compliance, and continuous improvement positions yourself as a trusted partner and key contributor to this transformative project.
Requirements
  • Significant experience in industrial/employee relations, including specialist expertise in employment law.
  • Hands-on experience with payroll, a detailed understanding of relevant legislative frameworks, and a proven track record of successfully implementing compliance measures within large organisations.
  • Experience engaging with Unions and a strong understanding of union priorities and practices.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to present findings, explain regulatory considerations, and facilitate training.
  • Tertiary qualification with a degree in Employee/Industrial Relations, Human Resources, Law, or a related discipline.
