Human Resources Advisor Position

The role of Human Resources Advisor is a critical position that requires an individual with expertise in generalist HR functions and practices.

This key role involves operating as a true HR Generalist, delivering a broad range of HR services across all levels of the business. This includes undertaking end-to-end recruitment for various roles across the business, collaborating with site managers to implement workforce strategies aligned with operational goals, and providing timely and accurate HR data, insights, and reports to support informed decision-making.

  • To be successful in this role, you will have:
    • Tertiary qualifications (or minimum Diploma) in HR or a related discipline.
    • Proven experience in a similar HR Advisor role, preferably within mining, construction, or heavy industry.
    • Ability to work independently on assigned tasks and collaboratively within a team.
    • Strong expertise in generalist HR functions and practices.
    • In-depth knowledge of Australian employment law, industrial relations, and enterprise agreements.
    • Experience using HR metrics and analytics to guide business decisions.
    • Proven ability to manage multiple projects while prioritizing conflicting demands in a fast-paced environment.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills to build professional relationships, influence, and negotiate effectively.
    • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including experience in delivering training, drafting reports, and handling administrative tasks with precision.
  • Key responsibilities include:
    • Recruitment and staffing: Undertake end-to-end recruitment for various roles across the business.
    • Workforce strategy implementation: Collaborate with site managers to implement workforce strategies aligned with operational goals.
    • HR data and reporting: Provide timely and accurate HR data, insights, and reports to support informed decision-making.
    • Industrial relations: Offer expert advice on industrial relations, ensuring compliance with Fair Work legislation, enterprise agreements, and company policies.
    • Employee engagement: Drive employee engagement and retention through key HR initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
    • Contract management: Ensure accurate and timely processing of employee contract variations.
