About the Role

The Policy Specialist will play a key role in ensuring alignment between two inter-related work streams to support the successful delivery of the Public Safety Mobile Broadband (PSMB) Program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the PSMB National Partnership and Inter-Governmental Agreement work plans.
  • Develop and implement a negotiation strategy for the Inter-Governmental Agreement, including drafting the agreement and schedules.
  • Provide input to drafting instructions to legal advisors.
  • Support the scoping, development, and costing of options for Australian Government consideration.

Requirements:

  • Strong policy development and implementation skills.
  • Ability to draft well-written papers, including submissions and briefs.
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills.

What's on Offer:

  • An APS6 hourly rate contract, notionally a 12-month opportunity with a view to extend.
  • A role based in Canberra, with other locations considered.
