About the Opportunity
">We are seeking a highly experienced Senior GIS Developer to join our dynamic Geospatial Services Section in the Department of Infrastructure and Regional Development. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining our existing geospatial systems and databases, monitoring and enhancing automation processes, and providing technical expertise to support a multitude of projects across the department.

">The key responsibilities of this role include:

- Developing and maintaining geospatial systems and databases using ESRI's ArcGIS Desktop, Enterprise, and Cloud platforms;">
- Maintaining and enhancing automation processes for data capture, transformation, and reporting systems;">
- Providing technical expertise to support complex projects across the department, leveraging software applications such as ArcGIS Pro, Portal for ArcGIS, and FME;">
- Contributing to a positive hybrid team environment, working cooperatively with team members, and developing productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.">
- Effectively communicating with influence insights and issues to technical and non-technical stakeholders;">

">What We Offer
">We offer a competitive salary package, including an estimated annual salary of $92,005 - $110,020, plus 15.4% superannuation. Our benefits include opportunities for flexible work arrangements, professional development, and a positive work-life balance.
">Requirements
">To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

- A strong background in IT development, particularly in geospatial technologies, with minimum 3 years' experience;">
- Demonstrated experience developing processes working with geospatial data and leveraging related software applications;">
- Ability to contribute to a positive hybrid team environment and develop productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders;">
- Effective communication skills to influence insights and issues to technical and non-technical stakeholders;">
- Proficiency in one or more of the following environments: Python (particularly arcpy), ArcGIS Portal, or SQL;">
- Able to obtain and maintain Negative Vetting 1 security clearance.">
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
">Preferred skills and qualifications include:

- Experience with full stack development or backend webservice interdependencies;">
- Familiarity with Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) and the Change process in a complex environment;">
- Proficiency in Microsoft technologies for Client, Server, and Cloud;">
- Knowledge of Azure services, ASP.NET, C#, and JavaScript.">
