Job Title: Highly Experienced Java Software Engineer Wanted

We are seeking a highly skilled Java Software Engineer to join our team in Brisbane or Canberra, with the primary objective of delivering high-quality software solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To design, develop, and maintain complex system components using Java, ensuring alignment with industry standards and methodologies.
  • To provide technical expertise and mentor junior team members, while troubleshooting production issues and estimating development efforts for new and existing applications.
  • To conduct code reviews and quality assurance tasks, collaborating with business analysts, testers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
  • To manage defects, analyze root causes of incidents, and document technical designs and systems operation documentation.

Deliverables:

  • Technical design documents, including deployment plans, workflows, events, and sequence diagrams.
  • Records of troubleshooting, production issues, and incidents, along with detailed analysis and recommendations.

This is a senior-level role that requires strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a minimum of five years' experience with Java and related technologies. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of J2EE, Servlet, EJB & EJB3, JPA (Hibernate), Spring, SOAP, Web services, Component, SQL, Oracle, and DBE.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of five years' experience with Java, with expertise in cloud and integration technologies.
  • Demonstrated experience with designing, developing, supporting, and maintaining capabilities in large complex ICT environments.
  • Expertise as a senior developer in production environments and projects using waterfall or agile methodologies.
  • Exposure to technologies including WebSphere, WebSphere MQ, and IBM Datapower.
  • Ability to quickly gain knowledge of other open source and/or COTS products/technologies.

The successful candidate can expect a salary of $120-$140 per hour, with opportunities for growth and professional development in a dynamic and challenging environment.
