Support Worker - Neurodiverse Young Person

This role is an exciting opportunity to work with a 16-year-old girl living in Balgowlah and her family. She experiences challenges associated with Autism, ADHD, learning difficulties, slow processing speed, and high anxiety.

The ideal candidate will have a calm, patient, and encouraging personality, with experience or strong interest in supporting neurodiverse young people. They should be able to build trust and communicate effectively.

The support schedule includes:

  • Morning Shifts: Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday | 7:00 AM - 9:00 AM
  • Assist with waking and getting out of bed
  • Support through morning personal care, breakfast, and school prep
  • Drive her to school

Apart from the morning shifts, there are also afternoon sessions on Tuesday | 2:45 PM - 7:00 PM.

We require the following skills and qualifications:

  • Experience in supporting neurodiverse individuals
  • A valid driver's licence and reliable, roadworthy vehicle
  • Working With Children Check (WWCC) and NDIS Worker Screening (or willingness to obtain)
