Disability Services Manager Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated individual to join our team as a Disability Services Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for managing client services, ensuring high-quality customer experience, and working collaboratively with clients and their families to identify assessment care needs and support services required.

The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience in community services coordination or case management, managing SIL/disability accommodations, and supervising, supporting, and training staff. They will also possess knowledge of OH&S legislation relevant to the aged care and disability service sector and be able to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary care team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage client services and ensure effective care plan review and management.
  • Lead and provide coaching to support workers in delivering and exceeding client expectations.
  • Monitor service levels, including the review of funding and client/carer satisfaction.
  • Ensure consumer support plans and assessments are completed within required timeframes.
  • Conduct case conferences with internal and external stakeholders in conjunction with the consumer and/or their representative when needs change or review of needs is required.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience in community services coordination or case management.
  • Managing SIL/disability accommodations.
  • Certificate IV in community services or relevant discipline (preferred).
  • Demonstrated experience supervising, supporting, and training staff.
  • Knowledge of OH&S legislation relevant to the aged care and disability service sector.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary care team.
  • Build strong relationships with customers, case managers, and other key stakeholders.
  • High level of written and verbal communication skills.
