SkyBus, powered by Kinetic, are proud to have been awarded the contract to operate critical airside and landside bus services at Sydney Airport. This is an exciting new chapter for us, expanding our world famous brand into Sydney, and fast tracking to a fully battery electric bus fleet over the next few years.

With a strong track record in delivering safe, clean, and reliable airport, urban, school, and charter bus services, SkyBus and Kinetic's success is driven by teams dedicated to excellence. Our Maintenance team is critical to this success – ensuring our fleet runs at peak performance through high quality servicing and maintenance.

Our goal is to deliver exceptional customer experience while driving business growth and sustainability. To achieve this, we need a leader who can drive continuous improvement across all workshop practices.

The role will be based at our Sydney Airport Workshop, where you will lead a team of Mechanics and manage day-to-day operations. You will champion innovation and encourage your team to strive for excellence.

The Ideal Candidate
  • Must possess a Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology (or equivalent qualification)
  • Have a Minimum Medium Rigid (MR) licence.
  • Proven ability in managing workshop staff as well as influencing and creating a positive work culture.
  • Strong computer literacy with MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) with the ability to learn our in-house systems.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively engage with a diverse workforce.
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills with the ability to perform under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
  • Ability to obtain an Australian Security Identification Card (ASIC)
