About the Role

This role offers a great opportunity for Educators new to the Early Childhood Education and Care sector to receive on-the-job training in fantastic Montessori learning environments.

Our campuses have approachable and supportive Centre Managers, a great team environment, amazing development and training opportunities, and beautiful facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare food for morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea, and late afternoon snack
  • Safe food handling for allergic/anaphylactic children
  • Meal plating and service, taking meals to classrooms
  • Kitchen cleaning and dishwashing
  • Cleaning of office, staffroom, foyer, and other areas if needed
  • Cutting of varied meats
  • Food safety and hygiene procedures
  • Promote and market the centre to families and the community
  • Become familiar with Montessori Academy Policies and Procedures
Requirements
  • Current Working with Children Check
  • Food Handler's Certificate
  • Cert III in Early Childhood Education and Care or working towards (desired but not essential)
  • First Aid Certificate or willing to obtain one
  • Able to work shifts between 8:30am and 3:00pm Monday to Friday
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively in a team environment
  • Strong understanding of family communications
  • Strong understanding of the National Quality Framework and National Quality Standard
  • Understanding of the Montessori Philosophy
  • Commitment to the holistic development of their class
