Help Those in Crisis as a Compassionate Peer Worker

A trusted care provider seeks an experienced and empathetic Peer Worker to offer non-judgmental, recovery-oriented support to individuals facing suicidal crisis.

  1. Collaborate with others to create a safe environment for those struggling with uncertainty.
  2. Draw on your lived experience of mental health challenges to provide support and guidance to peers.
  3. Continue to develop professionally through regular supervision, ongoing training, and professional growth opportunities.

To be successful, you will need personal, lived experience of a suicidal crisis or significant mental health challenge, and have developed resilience, insight, and purpose through your recovery journey.

You will also need to hold the Intentional Peer Support (IPS) and Certificate IV in Mental Health Peer Work (Consumer), or be committed to completing these qualifications within 18 months of starting the role.

As a Peer Worker, you will play a key role in creating a supportive community that fosters connection, kindness, and hope.
