
Digital Content Manager

The volunteer Digital Content Coordinator is responsible for maintaining and updating the club's website to ensure content is accurate, engaging, and aligned with the club's mission and values. This role involves creating, editing, and publishing digital content, optimising pages for search engines (SEO), and ensuring a positive end-user experience for all site visitors.
This is a voluntary, non-committee role that plays a vital part in club communications without the additional commitment of a committee position. This role is ideal for someone with a creative eye and digital know-how who enjoys working behind the scenes.
Key Responsibilities:- Website Maintenance and Optimisation: Conduct regular website audits and quality assurance checks; Identify and troubleshoot content-related issues or website errors; Implement updates to website content promptly and accurately; Optimise content for search engines (SEO) to improve visibility and reach
- Content Creation and Management: Assist in developing and updating website content (e.g., upcoming events, workshops, articles and images); Upload seasonal newsletters and archive previous editions; Create and maintain calendars and schedules on the site; Ensure content is error-free, current and consistent with the club's mission and branding
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with the president, committee and other relevant stakeholders to ensure content is visually appealing and well-presented; Collaborate with subject matter experts to develop new content ideas; Liaise with the social media team to ensure consistency across platforms; Keep the committee informed of website updates, performance metrics and upcoming content needs
- Strategy & Planning: Suggest content improvements and design enhancements based on user experience and feedback; Monitor content performance (e.g., page views, user engagement) and provide regular insights and recommendations
- Strong writing and editing skills with a focus on clear, concise and engaging content
- Familiarity with SEO principles and website optimisation techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with various people
- Good organisational and time management skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Analytical thinking with the ability to interpret website performance data
- Attention to detail and proofreading skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
The Digital Content Coordinator is accountable to the president. Provides monthly reports on website performance and content recommendations
Commitment:A 12-month commitment; approximately 1-2 hours per week, with flexibility based on the club's needs and events
Training:An orientation of website tools, platform access and processes will be provided as well as ongoing support and guidance
