Job Role:
- Our residents require careful assessment and monitoring of their physical and psycho-social functioning, which we do by working closely with them, their families and carers to identify their goals, needs and preferences.
- We develop and implement individualised care plans that promote resident-led goal-directed care planning within a multiskilled environment focused on reablement.
- Providing high-quality evidence-based physiotherapy services that meet the physical and psychosocial needs of our residents is also a key part of the job.
- Managing and preventing falls, musculoskeletal issues, pain management, mobility, functional retraining and rehabilitation, continence and bowel health, oedema management, manual tasks and transfers are all important responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Residents' rights and dignity need to be respected and upheld, and this involves advocating for them through supporting choice and mitigating risk processes.
- Training and educating staff on best practice physiotherapy techniques is essential for maintaining high standards.
- Quality practices need to be monitored and continuous improvement initiatives implemented to ensure we're always doing things better.
- Participating in peer support activities and contributing to professional growth opportunities are also important aspects of the role.
