About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Family Support Worker to join our team at Hope Community Services. As a key member of our Mara Pirni Healing Place team, you will play a vital role in providing support to families affected by family violence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct child-safe assessments and develop comprehensive family plans using a wrap-around approach.
  • Work in a strengths-based, child-centered, family-focused way to promote the safety and wellbeing of children and young people.
  • Strengthen family connections and support parents in developing positive parenting skills.
  • Advocate for the needs of children, youth, and families to promote access to services and resources.
Requirements
  • Progressing towards a relevant qualification in Community Services or a related discipline (minimum Cert III) or willingness to engage in formal study.
  • Values alignment with Hope Community Services.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, time management, and organisational skills.
  • Intermediate to advanced computer literacy using MS Word, Outlook, Excel, and efficient.
