We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Data Center Operations Specialist. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the smooth operation of our data center facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in managing contractors and vendors to ensure all work is done according to established best practices and local regulations.

Performance Metrics and Reporting

  • Conduct thorough analyses and prepare detailed reports on critical facility infrastructure operations and maintenance.

Change Management and Incident Response

  • Generate Change Management requests and Incident Management tickets as directed by management.

Documentation and Learning

  • Develop and contribute to comprehensive documentation relevant to business and facility operations.

Maintenance and Emergency Services

  • Assist with routine maintenance and emergency services on critical systems such as switchgear, generators, UPS systems, power distribution equipment, chillers, cooling towers, computer room air handlers, building monitoring systems, etc.

Infrastructure Design and Implementation

  • Collaborate with the design and implementation team to develop new facilities and upgrade existing ones.

Facility Assets and Inventory Management

  • Manage facility assets and provision infrastructure and inventory asset management as directed.

Operational Meetings and Compliance

  • Participate in construction and operational meetings as required.
  • Ensure work order compliance and review of contractual SLAs.

Communication and Customer Service

  • Interface with Infra Ops teams for day-to-day operational requirements.
  • Demonstrate exceptional customer service and satisfaction.

Physical Requirements

  • This position requires a physical component, including the ability to lift rack equipment and work in cramped spaces or elevated locations while adhering to health and safety guidelines.

Requirements

  • A strong interest in maintenance of a data center or critical space facility.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • A facilities management mindset.
  • The ability to prioritize in complex, fast-paced environments.
  • Computer literacy and confidence with Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A degree or technical certification (e.g., Cert III) and relevant experience.
  • Data Center Engineering/Operations Experience.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
